This crazy weather has relented so we went for a walk outside to pick up some supplies. I have cabin fever from being stuck inside but I am grateful that our neighbourhood is not flooded. My heart goes out to those who have been inundated with water for the second time in two years.

The weather is a bit wild at the moment, torrential rain has us trapped indoors.  I don't mind at all as I have not been loving the summer humidity and heat.  We have been passing the time eating pancakes, reading books and catching up on movies.

I crossed the city to visit Botanica Real Food in Red Hill the other day (across the road from the old burnt out Red Hill skate rink).  I wanted to see for myself what all the fuss is about.  Not only was there a tasty selection of salads (broccoli, beet-root and sweet potato quinoa) that you can take away for lunch or dinner, they also have on offer gluten free treats such as cinnamon cakes and breakfast muesli.  My only wish is that they had opened in my neighbourhood...

I love a jumpsuit.  It does not require partnering with any other items of clothing which makes it a breeze to get dressed quickly when you are short on time.  It is also an acceptable way to wear an outfit somewhat similar to the feeling of wearing pyjamas when leaving the house.  And, despite the fact that they are quite masculine looking, for some reason I feel my most put together, feminine and confident on the days when I wear one.
